There’s a 14-page Introduction that gives you an overview of the story and its themes. And a 34-page section called “Textual Illuminations” to help to give you a deeper understanding of the Gita.
Reading the Gita as poetry – which is similar to how it was originally spoken – is endearing & it makes it an easy read.
The verses are easy to slide through, so if all readers will really contemplate and understand the import. That’s the only drawback of this version.
If you like poetry and are willing to slow yourself down, you’ll get a lot from this edition.
